BrokenVA.com is a blog devoted to elevating the voices of our nation’s veterans. It is intended to showcase the shortcomings within the Department of Veterans Affairs and advocate for change. It is unacceptable that we were able to land a man on the moon but cannot guarantee timely, quality healthcare to the men and women who served in the Armed Forces. It is unconscionable that our veterans must face a complex, adversarial, and unfriendly bureaucracy in order to obtain benefits that are rightfully theirs. We believe that the VA is broken.

Our nation has a sacred duty to care for veterans injured in honorable service. Our nation has a sacred duty to care for the widow and orphan of those who died in honorable service. This is our duty as a nation and a promise made to every man and woman who takes the oath to defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. A broken VA is a broken promise.
